Our final project was to create a podcast reflecting on what we learned over the semester. I've never done a podcast before and wasn't entirely certain what went into one. I found this much easier to do than the analysis presentation. Being able to just speak instead of worrying about what I looked like made a really big difference to me. I tried to make it more conversational than the presentation turned out, and I hope I succeeded.

Analysis Paralysis
This project was to take our analysis paper and discuss the analysis itself, rather than the location. I found talking about the analysis process much harder than the actual analysis. Making such a dry topic interesting is a challenge, and I'm not sure I succeeded on that front.

A Moment of Meditation
For this project, we had to analyze a space as a visual text. It had to be a semi-public space and one that wasn't entirely natural. A park playground is fine; the Grand Canyon is not. Our assignment was not to describe the location itself, but to analyze what the space really means. To that end, fieldwork was an important piece. You can't know what a place is saying if you don't visit it in person. I also took a more traditional route and checked books out of the library for reference. We were also required to interview at least one person about the location. Here's my paper about the atrium in the Lexington Public Library.
